If you want a super easy and healthy granola recipe then you've landed in the right place. Here's our easy peasy healthy granola recipe.

A few notes before you start

We love to use all organic ingredients; you do what's right for you.

It's all about texture and a party in your mouth so use different sized nutes, large shredded coconut, whole or flaked almonds. Variety is the spice of life!

This is a satisfying mix, a quarter to half a cup will fill your belly up.

Add  healthy granola to porridge, yoghurt, stewed fruit, cereal or enjoy on its own.

This mix is full of good fats and nutrients.

Purchase goodies from your local health food stores that do bulk foods, this way you can purchase as little or as much whenever we choose. Some stores also stock sexy looking glass storage jars, your pantry will look schmick with these.

We use sulphite free dried fruit, this prevents side effects like headaches and are now readily found in supermarkets.

Keep your macadamias in the fridge so they don't go rancid.

Heat your oven to 160 deg, line a couple of trays with baking paper and in a BIG bowl add...

What You Need

  • Approx 1 cup gluten free rolled oats (not quick cook oats)
  • handful macadamias
  • handful flaked almonds
  • 4 buckwheat cakes roughly crumbled
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • Approx 6-8 dried apricots roughly chopped
  • Small handful hazelnuts
  • A good sprinkle of hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • Handful shredded coconut

Let's Make This

In a glass jug add 2 tbsp coconut oil and a splodge of maple syrup (the real stuff), heat until melted. Stir and then add to the dry mix. Get your hands in there, toss until covered.

Spread your healthy granola mix on to trays and bake for approx 10 min, keep an eye on coconut and fruit. As soon as it starts to get some colour toss mix, pop back in the oven for another 3-5 min. Remove, cool and scoop into a glass jar, share some with friends and enjoy.
